The Best Solar Systems of 2020

Whenever we get an enquiry about a solar system, we always get asked the same question, ‘well, what are the best solar systems or the best solar panels?’. For this reason, we’ve decided to write a small blog about it.

We’ll also go through the price for solar installations, what the best solar companies are, and what kind of solar system (including solar inverters and panels) you need for your home.

By considering solar energy, you’re considering:

  • A cleaner earth
  • Cheaper monthly bills
  • Added asset value
  • another stream of revenue

On top of this, the Australian government offers huge discounts on your installation! But they go down year-by-year. Learn about Solar Incentives here.

This list consists of the brands we personally know are trusted and reliable. We’ll cover inverters; move on to solar panels (or solar cells), and finish on the often over-looked but essential roof-rack.

Additionally, the system you eventually come to choose can be a combination of these components.

The solar inverter is one of the most important components of a solar power system. Within a wall-mounted box, the output (DC) of a PV solar panel is converted into a 250V current (AC). This energy can then either be stored in a battery or fed into your home to operate your appliances.

Moreover, The warranty process is incredible fast. This is because Huawei is a customer-centric international company.

You may notice that we neglect to mention Solaredge in this blog. Consequently, the reason for this is many of our customers aren’t able to afford the Solaredge premiums. Furthermore, the other systems we mentioned, such as Huawei and SMA, actually have lower fail rates.

If you’re looking for a budget inverter, we recommend either the Sungrow or Huawei. On the other hand, the SMA inverter is recommended to those seeking an established and trusted brand.

In terms of the Solar panels, REC is the brand to go with if you want security and effectiveness. The reason being is its a top tier stable company with a 25-year warranty.

The Trina and Risen solar panel systems are slightly less expensive when compared to the established REC brand.

However, for those very conscious of their carbon footprint, we recommend Trina’s responsible manufacturing. For those wary of Trina’s shorter warranty, Risen’s Jager Plus system has slightly higher warranty than (+2 years).

Neverthless, all the brands we have discussed today we trusted and install on a regular basis. Quality and functionality is assured – as observed by our satisfied customers. The final decision is up to your personal preference. On whether you prefer security, price, or brand mark.
